Most items in billing sort ascending which can mean extra scrolling and extra clicks as most clients information exceeds the screen.
For example:
1. on the Account tab/Claims Details - it would be nice to have newest claims at the top.
2. When you go to correct a patient payment, usually it's a recent one, but the one that defaults is the oldest, leaving more room for error and more clicks as have to scroll - can this default to most current?
3. In the cash register, the receipts sort by ascending, most times we need to look at the most current - can it default to descending?
I know there are other items in the system that default this way too. And I realize we can filter most screens but it's just another click, so if we even had the choice to sort as we wish and have it hold, that would be helpful.
There are some things in the system that already sort descending, which makes sense - such as the appointments in the client editor and the date of the notes in the client editor.
I agree its frustrating when trying to view an old payment-it either gets grouped together by month regardless of the year-or you need to scroll your life away. Maybe it would be nice if the software grouped years into subtabs so you can click the older year and view them in proper order?
