Searching appointment type on waitlist - allow more than 1 letter to be entered

When searching for an Appointment Type, if I am trying to type Follow-up, I will start with F, it will go to FCE and then when I type O, it goes to Online scheduling. Is there a way to change it to complete as I am typing instead of switching? Or even better, just having a default of Follow-up 40?
