User option to have those completed/signed off patients fall off of the tab list immediately after sign off?

When multiple patient notes are open there are multiple tabs across the top of the documentation screen. Once a note is signed off, the current workflow leaves the patient's tab at the top of the documentation screen. Could it be a user option to have those completed/signed off patients fall off of the tab list immediately after sign off?
