After a patient is marked as arrived a pop up box would appear to alert to the front desk staff or billing department or therapist to make sure that this task is completed when the patient arrives. (There would be either a front desk box, billing box or therapist box that would be checked off when alert is created and a completed box when the task is done. The task would go directly to that patients account and to the specific department checked off in the task box. If the task was not completed when patient arrived it would still be there at the next visit or until the task was completed. Example-Insurance terminated-need new card, patients phone number is disconnected-please update phone number, patients concerns-patient called in with special concerns for staff/ therapist, pending paperwork from patient-reminder to as patient for required documents, specific health care needs and so on. This alert can be created from either EMR or Billing or Therapist and cross over to all programs for workflow success. The last program that I worked with had this and it was a life saver.
