Default to the Last Appointment Type Scheduled

We would like to submit a feature request for the schedule to remember the last appointment type when searching a patient to add to the schedule.

We are having an issue with the appointment type defaulting the Daily Visit. If the person scheduling doesn't pay attention or know what appointment type it should be, they are scheduling the patient incorrectly.

Ex: If a Medicare patient calls in to schedule an appointment, but the person scheduling doesn't select the correct appointment type, the patient could easily be double booked (charges may not be reduced and we are not compliant with Medicare rules).

There is not an indicator of the insurance payer when searching a patient name to schedule. If the system remembered the last appointment type, this would not be an issue.

A temproary way to help the situation may be to not have the appointment type default at all. This way, the person scheduling will need to select the appointment type. This would bring more attention to the appointment type being selected correctly.
